class=\"premium-modal-box-modal-body\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On the 21st of June, 2025, the Marvelous Comfort Humanitarian Foundation had a transformative Healthy living and Lifestyle campaign, an effort that reached hearts, changed lives, and ignited hope. The medical outreach was a two days campaign where medical care and services was render to selected vulnerable in urban ward I in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The coverage area consists of three villages namely Etinan, Ikot Ebo and Ikot Ebiyak. The event was held at Ikot Ebo Multipurpose Hall on the 21st June, 2025.<br \/>The targeted audience of the outreach were specifically vulnerable carefully drawn from the three villages. Five hundred beneficiaries (500) were attended to during the outreach. Two hundred (200) from Ikot Ebo, while Etinan and Ikot Ebiyak had One hundred and fifty (150) beneficiaries respectively. Identification and selection of the beneficiaries was achieved through scrutiny involving the village heads, youth presidents and the local government councilor representing the ward in the third tier of government. They help in the identification of respective vulnerable in their domain and they were issued with forms. These forms where later screened by the administrative council of the Marvelous Comfort Humanitarian Foundation (MCHF) and a total number of Five hundred (500) vulnerable persons scaled through the screening.<br \/>Workforce for the outreach, these consists all the Administrative Technical and Medical Teams of the MCHF. The foundation also had a serious backup by drawing seasoned medical professionals from health institution around the environs to assists in the team work during the outreach. They were seriously prepared, well kitted for the task and were all on the venue of the outreach by 7:30 am. The event was segmented into two (2) parts, Firstly, the Health Talk and Fitness demonstrations and secondly, the Medical Outreach.<br \/>The second segment of the outreach was the free health screening and treatment of vulnerable persons identify and duly screened for the event. A queuing format was applied where beneficiaries were asked to queue in a straight line according to their age range.<br \/>The event has goodwill from the following personalities:<br \/>1. Hon. This outreach, which continues till date, is designed to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services to underserved communities.<br \/>The program focused on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of common health conditions such as malaria, typhoid, and high blood pressure. Free medical screenings, medications, and health education were provided to residents, ensuring both immediate care and long-term awareness.<br \/>The outreach is guided by the following objectives:<br \/>To provide free malaria and typhoid testing services.<br \/>To conduct blood pressure screenings for early detection of hypertension.<br \/>To distribute free medications for malaria, typhoid, and high blood pressure.<br \/>To promote awareness of preventive health practices within the community.<br \/>All attendees are registered upon arrival. Basic information such as names, age range, and health complaints were documented to ensure proper follow-up and care.<br \/>Participants undergo comprehensive screening, including:<br \/>Rapid diagnostic tests for malaria and typhoid.<br \/>Blood pressure checks to assess hypertension levels.<br \/>Individuals who test positive for malaria or typhoid receives appropriate medications at no cost. Participants diagnosed with high blood pressure are provided antihypertensive drugs and counseled on necessary lifestyle changes. Health talks are also conducted to educate participants on malaria prevention strategies, personal and environmental hygiene, healthy dietary practices, and effective management of high blood pressure.<br \/>So far, a total of 150 plus beneficiaries participated in the outreach, receiving one or more of the services offered. This outreach records several positive impacts within the community:<br \/>Increased awareness of malaria, typhoid, and hypertension prevention.<br \/>Early detection of health conditions requiring immediate attention.<br \/>Improved access to essential medications for vulnerable residents.<br \/>The Wednesday&#8217;s Clinic initiative continues to serve as a vital platform for delivering essential healthcare services to underserved communities. Hypertension the silent killer by Dr. E. S. Okro<br \/>Talk 2. Diabetics mellitus (Blood sugar) by Mr. Dennis Sunday Udom<br \/>Talk 3. Malaria by Mrs. Theresa Umoidem <br \/>Talk 4. Arthritis by Mrs. Grace Hanson Ikpe <br \/>Fitness Demonstration was conducted by Mrs. Ukeme AnietieAkpaoffiong. <br \/>Also, the following medical test were conducted during the outreach by the medical team:<br \/>1. Hypertension (HBP)<br \/>2. Blood sugar (HBS)<br \/>3. Malaria<br \/>4. Eye test<br \/>5. Arthritis<br \/>The beneficiaries were directed to the each point where the different test were conducted. However, the end point was the dispensary where prescribed drugs where issued to the beneficiaries with packed food as a sort of refreshment for the participant.<br \/>Beneficiaries vulnerable were mainly aged persons and majority ranging from 60years to 80years of age. Multiply ailments such as High blood sugar (HBS) and Hypertension (HBP), Arthritis and Sight defects are as a result of the following:<br \/>1. Aging <br \/>2. Lack of awareness of the ailment by the vulnerable<br \/>3. Cultural belief. <br \/>4. Complications due to multiply ailment such as High blood sugar (HBS), Hypertension (HBP) etc.<br \/>5. Lack of proper counselling.6. Stress.<br \/>7. The medical outreach was a two days campaign where medical care and services was render to selected vulnerable in urban ward I in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The coverage area consists of three villages namely Etinan, Ikot Ebo and Ikot Ebiyak. The event was held at Ikot Ebo Multipurpose Hall on the 21st June, 2025.<br \/>The targeted audience of the outreach were specifically vulnerable carefully drawn from the three villages. Five hundred beneficiaries (500) were attended to during the outreach. Two hundred (200) from Ikot Ebo, while Etinan and Ikot Ebiyak had One hundred and fifty (150) beneficiaries respectively. Identification and selection of the beneficiaries was achieved through scrutiny involving the village heads, youth presidents and the local government councilor representing the ward in the third tier of government. They help in the identification of respective vulnerable in their domain and they were issued with forms. These forms where later screened by the administrative council of the Marvelous Comfort Humanitarian Foundation (MCHF) and a total number of Five hundred (500) vulnerable persons scaled through the screening.<br \/>Workforce for the outreach, these consists all the Administrative Technical and Medical Teams of the MCHF. The foundation also had a serious backup by drawing seasoned medical professionals from health institution around the environs to assists in the team work during the outreach. They were seriously prepared, well kitted for the task and were all on the venue of the outreach by 7:30 am. The event was segmented into two (2) parts, Firstly, the Health Talk and Fitness demonstrations and secondly, the Medical Outreach.<br \/>The second segment of the outreach was the free health screening and treatment of vulnerable persons identify and duly screened for the event. This outreach, which continues till date, is designed to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services to underserved communities.The program focused on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of common health conditions such as malaria, typhoid, and high blood pressure. Free medical screenings, medications, and health education were provided to residents, ensuring both immediate care and long-term awareness.The outreach is guided by the following objectives:To provide free malaria and typhoid testing services.To conduct blood pressure screenings for early detection of hypertension.To distribute free medications for malaria, typhoid, and high blood pressure.To promote awareness of preventive health practices within the community.All attendees are registered upon arrival. Basic information such as names, age range, and health complaints were documented to ensure proper follow-up and care.Participants undergo comprehensive screening, including:Rapid diagnostic tests for malaria and typhoid.Blood pressure checks to assess hypertension levels.Individuals who test positive for malaria or typhoid receives appropriate medications at no cost. Participants diagnosed with high blood pressure are provided antihypertensive drugs and counseled on necessary lifestyle changes. Health talks are also conducted to educate participants on malaria prevention strategies, personal and environmental hygiene, healthy dietary practices, and effective management of high blood pressure.So far, a total of 150 plus beneficiaries participated in the outreach, receiving one or more of the services offered.
