The MCHF Lauch
On the 21st of June, 2025, the Marvelous Comfort Humanitarian Foundation had a transformative Healthy living and Lifestyle campaign, an effort that reached hearts, changed lives, and ignited hope. The medical outreach was a two days campaign where medical care and services was render to selected vulnerable in urban ward I in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The coverage area consists of three villages namely Etinan, Ikot Ebo and Ikot Ebiyak. The event was held at Ikot Ebo Multipurpose Hall on the 21st June, 2025.
The targeted audience of the outreach were specifically vulnerable carefully drawn from the three villages. Five hundred beneficiaries (500) were attended to during the outreach. Two hundred (200) from Ikot Ebo, while Etinan and Ikot Ebiyak had One hundred and fifty (150) beneficiaries respectively. Identification and selection of the beneficiaries was achieved through scrutiny involving the village heads, youth presidents and the local government councilor representing the ward in the third tier of government. They help in the identification of respective vulnerable in their domain and they were issued with forms. These forms where later screened by the administrative council of the Marvelous Comfort Humanitarian Foundation (MCHF) and a total number of Five hundred (500) vulnerable persons scaled through the screening.
Workforce for the outreach, these consists all the Administrative Technical and Medical Teams of the MCHF. The foundation also had a serious backup by drawing seasoned medical professionals from health institution around the environs to assists in the team work during the outreach. They were seriously prepared, well kitted for the task and were all on the venue of the outreach by 7:30 am. The event was segmented into two (2) parts, Firstly, the Health Talk and Fitness demonstrations and secondly, the Medical Outreach.

These event had the following medical professionals presenting talks on the following ailment.
Talk 1. Hypertension the silent killer by Dr. E. S. Okro
Talk 2. Diabetics mellitus (Blood sugar) by Mr. Dennis Sunday Udom
Talk 3. Malaria by Mrs. Theresa Umoidem
Talk 4. Arthritis by Mrs. Grace Hanson Ikpe
Fitness Demonstration was conducted by Mrs. Ukeme AnietieAkpaoffiong.
Medical Outreach
The second segment of the outreach was the free health screening and treatment of vulnerable persons identify and duly screened for the event. A queuing format was applied where beneficiaries were asked to queue in a straight line according to their age range.
The following medical test were conducted during the outreach by the medical team:
1. Hypertension (HBP)
2. Blood sugar (HBS)
3. Malaria
4. Eye test
5. Arthritis
The beneficiaries were directed to the each point where the different test were conducted. However, the end point was the dispensary where prescribed drugs where issued to the beneficiaries with packed food as a sort of refreshment for the participant.
Beneficiaries vulnerable were mainly aged persons and majority ranging from 60years to 80years of age. Multiply ailments such as High blood sugar (HBS) and Hypertension (HBP), Arthritis and Sight defects are as a result of the following:
1. Aging
2. Lack of awareness of the ailment by the vulnerable
3. Cultural belief.
4. Complications due to multiply ailment such as High blood sugar (HBS), Hypertension (HBP) etc.
5. Lack of proper counselling.6. Stress.
7. Poverty.
